Wordpress Multiuser Version 1 RC1
Wordpress Multiuser just released the first realease candidate of Version 1. Donncha of the Wordpress.com developers prepared the downloads [tar.gz, zip]. WPMU users are encouraged to post their feedback and create trouble-tickes in case of problems.
WPMU, the software zungu.net runs on, enables to provide multiple blogs based on a single installation. I am very excited about that and will install the release asap. If the system runs smoothly, I will update zungu.NET of course.
the places still to go
The white faces are the countries still to visit.

I always thought that there must be such tools on the web, a map of all places you ever visited, but I never took the time to search. Found this just by chance. Create a worldmap with all countries that you’ve visited.
jetzt hat’s mich, tagged
Well, I’ve been caught the 2nd time by some weird blogger hobby - I’ve been tagged, I got a “Stöckchen” as the german blogger scene calls it. Some folks seem to be in need of blog-content ;-)? Anyway I’ll forget about the long lost privacy on the web and publish some more irrevelant personal stuff about myself. Btw. who dares about any personal stuff? To 99,999…9999% this (false?) post will be completely worthless information anyway.
First, here, read tha dim rulz.
1. I am a TCK and am not quite sure what to say where my home is. I feel weird - and I love weird, crazy, crackbrained people. I am scared by the ordinary, sometimes of myself. Is a tagg-response ordinary? Hm, scary.
2. ok, first, I love this place. (The link is a Google Placemark. You need GoogleEarth and a swift web-access to open it). The place needs tusker and nyama choma.

this photo covers approx. three facts. please guess!
3. EEh. Me, I’m fongot this one.
4. I love music from “The Prayer Chain“, a band that split up I guess 1995. I am able to give very wired explanations (the whole night through) why their music gets better with every hearing. 58 bought the CD sometime 1994 by mailorder from Germany. We both didn’t like their music at first. Finally he convinced me to give him an other (crappy) CD I had bought in excange to “Shawl”. The only album that I miss today is their first, called “the neverland sessions”. I just can’t afford it. Only once in a decade some moron sells it on ebay - and all the other idiots pay more than 100 USD to get it *argh*.
Btw. have you ever wondered about 58’s domain fiftyeight.net?
5. I love piki-pikis and old cars and store a buch of them in my backyard to be repaired. The IT-stuff I do gets in conflict with that love. (I’m actually waiting for JKE to come and repair them for me ;-))
6. I love to travel, but either I have time and no money, or I have a job & money but no more time. In both cases go back to 1.
Yeah, and over all this weird stuff I feel comforted and at rest beeing a child in the hands of a loving god concearned about me. Well, I just had to add this ;-).

JKE, you are taggedback, 58 you are doubletagged. I want to tacker fred & pilgrim. I pass a “Stöckchen” to Tom and Alex. I wonder why the mzungu on the other side hash not been tagged (maybe because he is a hard-blogging-businessman?) and I want to remind Astrid that she has been tagged by the taggedback. And what are the rules?
ati, what’s this one called?
I couldn’t remeber the name of this former neighbours of mine. But the African Wildlife Foundation has a beautiful site with a wildlife library. Ok, Kongoni was the name I lost. Get yourself a full update there, incl. wildlife sounds, screensavers and wallpapers. But before you adopt an animal, think of supporting a child.
atari and nintendo history lessons
I have missed quite a part of gaming history, since I never had these toys during my youth in Kenya. Also today I do not give much about PC Games. But this got me up to date about the beginning of atari and nintendo. Quite long but an interesting documentation: here.
Sorry, I had to remove the inline video again, due to some problems with the Wordpress-Plugin I use with this Wordpress-Multiuser Version. I think I’ll soon have to update WPMU.

FIFA World Cup(TM) is here!
The World CupTM is here an I am really excited and feel much entertained so far! No, I am not that
typical african / south american type of fan, I feel bored at times when watching football.
Until now I’ve followed just two of the matches - but those were definetly the two best so far! Sure, first Germany vs. Costa Rica 3:2 (quite mandatory as a mzungu and german) and right now Argentina vs. Cote d’Ivoire 2:1. The latter, a real spectacular match. And I must admit that I was quite biased for Cote d’Ivoire. What a pity the could not take the lead and missed so many chances! (more details here) I hope the will knock out Holland in the next match ;-).
What I am also excited about is kickoff2006, a event taking place in my church in Stuttgart. Here is a excerpt what this ist about from kickoff2006.org :
[…] The thrilling atmosphere of exciting matches, dream passes and bad passes, tears of joy and tears of sorrow, cultural highlights outside the stadiums and events around the Cup matches. The world will be our guest here in Germany – a huge challenge for Christians from different churches and fellowships. To address this new challenge, a network of co-workers
from churches and fellowships and Christian organisations, as well as from national and international Christian sports ministries has been created.
I case you are arround, you are very welcome to the citychapel in Stuttgart. Our Location is a “kickoff:Base”. All matches are projected on our large screen and we have lots of action, bands, snacks and beverages arround for you. We are thrilled to have people from all over the globe here in germany, karibu sana!
(In case I forgot some Trademark-signs for FIFA - here they are: TM TM TM TM TM)
